This house was devastated during the Houston freeze event. When we arrived homeowners were in the process of moving things around to protect what they had left from their house. The whole house needed major remodeling work. It’s our first day here and this family, unfortunately, had to relocate for the duration of the project. Wait for our next post for the progress on this project.
Day 3. Collaborated with clients on the future design of their house. Agreed to proceed with plans for full house remodeling. Created schematics and 3-D models of the areas to be remodeled.
Week 1: Had to do major demolition for the sheetrock, flooring, etc. to the bare studs. Removed flooring and broke down the walls to replace them. Dried out all the surfaces to prevent the formation of fungus and rot with several thermal fans. Covered all the wood with an antifungal compound.
